WHY BRISTM

AI for Shopify stores, built by people who build Shopify stores.

Most AI tools for ecommerce sit next to the store and guess. As an AI ecommerce agency that also builds Shopify stores and apps, BRISTM wires AI into the parts that hold the facts: orders, variants, metafields, stock and customer history. We start with one workflow, set a baseline, keep a person in the loop and only widen the scope once it works.

THE CHALLENGE

Where AI solutions for ecommerce usually go wrong.

Most online stores already pay for an AI feature or two. The problems start when those tools can't see real order data, when the catalogue is too thin for AI to use, or when nobody checks what the AI writes. These are the four gaps we fix most often.

  1. Thin catalogue

Search can't find what I asked for.

We use AI to fill missing attributes, sizes, materials and use cases into Shopify metafields, with a review queue. Search, filters, feeds and AI assistants then work from the same clean data.

  2. Support backlog

I waited two days for an answer.

An AI support agent answers order status, returns and product questions from live Shopify and helpdesk data, and hands anything unusual to your team with the full context attached.

  3. Unchecked content

The description says the wrong thing.

Generated copy follows your tone and uses facts from product data only. Nothing publishes without approval, and every change is logged so you can see who approved what.

  4. AI visibility

    ChatGPT recommended a different store.

We structure product data so AI assistants can read it, then link to our agentic commerce work for selling inside ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot through Shopify's Agentic Storefronts.

WHAT WE PLAN FOR

Built around how ecommerce data, teams and trading actually work.

Ecommerce AI fails quietly when the data is messy, the team doesn't trust it or peak season breaks it. Before we build, we plan five things: where the data lives, who reviews output, what it costs to run, how it behaves at peak and how we measure it.

  • One source of truth

Product facts live in Shopify metafields and metaobjects, so AI, search, feeds and the storefront never disagree.

  • Human review

Clear rules for what AI can do alone, what needs approval and what always goes to a person.

  • Running costs

Model choice, caching and limits planned up front, so costs per ticket or per product stay predictable.

  • Peak trading

Agents tested against Black Friday volumes, sale rules and stock-outs before they face real customers.

  • Measurement

A baseline before launch and tracking in GA4 and your helpdesk, so results are compared, not guessed.

eCommerce AI FAQ

eCommerce AI solutions are AI tools built into your store's own systems. The common uses are support agents that answer order questions, enrichment of product data, smarter on-site search, product content drafted from your data, and demand forecasts. BRISTM connects each one to Shopify, your helpdesk and GA4 so results can be measured.

BRISTM projects start from $5,000. An AI agent for one workflow, such as order-status support, usually takes 4 to 8 weeks to build and test. Cost depends on the number of systems connected, the volume of data and how much review tooling your team needs. Model running costs are separate and planned up front.

No, but Shopify makes it faster. We connect to the Shopify Admin API, Shopify Flow and metafields directly. For other platforms we work through their APIs. If you plan to move, our Shopify store development team can migrate the store and set up AI in one project.

Yes. The AI agent looks up the order in Shopify and the carrier's tracking data, then replies with the real status. For returns, it checks your policy and the order date. Refunds, complaints and anything unusual go to a person, with the conversation and order details attached.

Not if they're accurate and useful. Google judges content on quality, not on how it was written. We generate descriptions only from your product data and style guide, avoid duplicate text across variants, and require approval before publishing. Thin, generic copy is what hurts rankings, whoever writes it.

We choose per task, usually models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini). Customer data is only sent where a task needs it, through business APIs that don't use it for model training. Access is limited by role and every agent action is logged.

Start with clean, complete product data: GTINs, categories, variants, policies and Product schema. That is part of our ecommerce AI work. Selling directly inside ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot through Shopify's Agentic Storefronts is covered by our separate agentic commerce service.
