WHY BRISTM

Your trade buyers still email orders. We give them a better way.

Most wholesalers run on PDFs, spreadsheets and a sales rep's inbox. Buyers want to log in, see their own prices and stock, reorder last month's order and get an invoice on terms. BRISTM builds wholesale ecommerce for manufacturers and distributors on Shopify, set up around how you already sell. For platform build and Shopify Plus setup, see our Shopify B2B development service.

THE CHALLENGE

Wholesale ecommerce has more rules per order than retail.

B2B ecommerce for distributors and manufacturers is not a retail store with a discount code. Every account has its own prices, order minimums, delivery sites and payment terms, and the order has to land in your ERP correctly. These are the four problems we hear most.

  1. Manual ordering

“I still email my orders to a rep.”

A wholesale ordering portal where buyers log in, search by SKU, fill a quick order list and reorder past orders in two clicks, on desktop or on the warehouse floor.

  2. Order rules

    “Why can't I order 7 units?”

Quantity rules in Shopify: minimums, maximums and case-pack increments per product and catalogue, with volume pricing shown before the buyer adds to cart.

  3. Payment terms

“We pay on net 30, not by card.”

Shopify payment terms (net 7 to 90, or due on fulfilment) per company location, with vaulted cards, credit checks from your ERP and invoices sent automatically.

  4. AI buyers

“Can I just ask for my usual order?”

An AI agent for trade buyers that reorders, checks stock and order status from your data, and structured product data so AI search tools read your range correctly.

WHAT WE PLAN FOR

Built around the realities of wholesale trade.

Wholesale ecommerce for manufacturers breaks on data, not design. Price lists with thousands of lines, customers with ten delivery sites, credit limits kept in the ERP. We map how you trade today, then decide what Shopify handles natively and what needs custom work.

  • Companies and locations

Company profiles with several buyers, delivery sites and billing addresses, each with its own permissions and terms.

  • Catalogues and price lists

Customer-specific catalogues and price lists, fixed or percentage-based, planned against your Shopify plan's catalogue limits.

  • Quantity rules

Minimums, maximums, case-pack increments and volume price breaks set per product, so every order is one you can ship.

  • Terms and credit

Net terms, deposits, credit limits and on-account ordering, with B2B checkout rules for PO numbers and delivery notes.

  • ERP as the source of truth

Stock, prices, customers and invoices synced from your ERP on a schedule you control, with errors logged, not lost.

Wholesale ecommerce FAQ

Questions? We've got answers.

Still unsure? Write to us at and a wholesale ecommerce specialist will reply.

Wholesale ecommerce development is building an online ordering channel for trade customers. Each business buyer logs in to see its own catalogue and prices, orders in set quantities and pays on agreed terms. BRISTM builds this on Shopify, connected to your ERP, as a trade-only store or next to your DTC store.

Yes. Since April 2026, Shopify's Basic, Grow and Advanced plans include company profiles, payment terms, volume pricing and up to three active B2B catalogues. Shopify Plus adds unlimited catalogues assigned to individual companies and locations, plus partial payments and deposits. We help you pick the right plan for your price lists.

Wholesale pricing on Shopify is set with catalogues. Each catalogue holds a price list, as fixed prices or a percentage off retail, plus volume price breaks and quantity rules. You assign catalogues to companies or markets. We usually import price lists from your ERP so they stay in sync.

Yes. A hybrid store shows retail prices to the public and trade prices, quantity rules and payment terms to logged-in company buyers. Both share one product catalogue, one stock pool and one admin. We set up separate checkout rules and content so each audience only sees what applies to them.

Yes. Shopify payment terms let you offer net 7, 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 days, or payment due on fulfilment, set per company location. Buyers place orders without paying upfront and receive an invoice. We can also check credit limits against your ERP before an order is accepted.

We connect Shopify to common ERPs such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP Business One and Odoo, using proven connectors or custom middleware. Typical syncs are products, stock, customer-specific prices, companies, orders and invoices. We agree which system owns each piece of data before building.

Yes. We build AI agents that let trade buyers reorder, check stock and track deliveries by chat or email, using their own prices and quantity rules. The agent drafts the order for the buyer or rep to confirm. Clean product data also helps ChatGPT and Gemini describe your range correctly.
